Institute of Medical Sciences Sports Meet 2025

The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) proudly celebrated IMS Week 2025 with a week-long series of events from 08th to 14th September 2025, filled with sports, culture, community service, and academic excellence. Each day carried unique experiences, bringing together students, staff, and well-wishers to showcase their spirit, skills, and teamwork.

Day 1 – 08th September 2025

IMS Week commenced with the World Physiotherapy Day – Awareness Health Walk from Kompayan Primary Substation to IMS, promoting health and wellness. This was followed by Indoor Games, where students competed in Carrom, Chess, and Badminton (Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles), highlighting focus, strategy, and sportsmanship.

Day 2 – 09th September 2025

The second day was energized by the Killithaddu Game, led by Ms. Mithusajini, showcasing teamwork and enthusiasm. A Medical Check-up for the Marathon runners was also conducted to ensure fitness and safety.

Day 3 – 10th September 2025

The morning began with the Marathon from Sithankeny Junction to IMS, coordinated by Mr. Sangaran. The day continued with a vibrant Cultural Programme, including music, dance, skits, role play, and TikTok performances, with five creative events from each house bringing color and joy.

Day 4 – 11th September 2025

Students and staff reached out with love and compassion during the Elders’ Home Visit in the morning. Later, the afternoon was filled with competitive spirit in the Women’s Cricket Match.

Day 5 – 12th September 2025

The day featured a Live Quiz Programme focused on nursing-related questions, sharpening knowledge and teamwork. In the afternoon, students engaged in House Decorations, Marching, and Drill practices, preparing for the grand finale.

Day 6 – 13th September 2025

The highlight of IMS Week, the Closing Ceremony, unfolded with a full day of competitions and celebrations, including:

The day concluded with Prize Distribution, Vote of Thanks, and heartfelt acknowledgments by all staff, marking a fitting end to the celebrations.

Day 7 – 14th September 2025

IMS Week concluded with a Special Programme, carrying forward the joy, unity, and memories created throughout the week.
