World Mosquito Day 2025 – Siramadana Activity at Institute of Medical Sciences

In commemoration of World Mosquito Day 2025, the students and staff of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) came together to participate in a Siramadana (voluntary community service) activity held at the Green Memorial Hospital premises.

The event focused on cleaning both the roadside and inside areas of the hospital environment. Volunteers worked collectively to remove paper, polythene, and plastic waste, contributing to a cleaner and safer space for the community. This initiative was designed not only to promote cleanliness but also to reduce potential mosquito breeding grounds, thereby supporting better public health.

The Siramadana activity highlighted the importance of community involvement in preventing mosquito-borne diseases. By joining hands, IMS students and staff demonstrated their commitment to protecting the environment and promoting healthier living conditions.

Such activities serve as a reminder that small, consistent efforts can lead to a significant impact on public health and the well-being of society.
